For years my blood sugar hovered right around 100 mg/dL. Every year the doctor kept telling me to cut back on the carbs. I kept cutting back, but it didn’t seem to help. In fact my numbers kept going up.
Then a few months ago, my A1C hit 6.3% (6.4 is considered diabetic). The doctor told me it was time to go on blood sugar meds.
Well I wasn’t ready for that. I already take blood pressure and cholesterol meds, and I didn’t want to add blood sugar meds too. So I started on a journey of researching alternative methods of bringing my numbers down without drugs.
